Car-Free Sundays are back Coimbatore

After a brief break, the Car-Free Sundays, an initiative of The Hindu in association with the Coimbatore Corporation and City Traffic Police, is back with a bang with a line up of events and activities on a 800-m stretch of DB Road from 6.30 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Mark 1 events is the event manager and Radio City is the radio partner for the event.

The event will take place on DB Road, but slightly away from the usual stretch. The CFS Zone has been shifted away from Kennedy Theatre stretch towards the stretch closer to the Head Post Office signal.

The events include Genesis Sports Foundation - Athletic and body fitness (6.30 a.m. to 7 a.m.), Fun and Shuttle Games from 7 a.m. besides 7 stone games from 7.30 a.m.

There will be a music performance on karoke by DPS Music Academy besides yoga and cultural events. In addition, there will be a number of on-the-spot performances by artists and local residents.
