All arrangements are in full swing for the four-day annual summer festival and flower show in the hill station of Yercaud which commences on May 12.
The horticulture department has already taken steps for decorating the flowers of various varieties for the flower show.
The department has already procured eye catching colourful flowers from various parts of the state and also from the neighbouring Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
About 22,000 rose flowers have been fetched from Uthagamandalam alone. The staff of the department and the workers are involved in the work of decorating the portraits of cricket player, and replica of St. George Fort, tractor, and arch towers.
The other special features planned included vegetables and fruits carving, structures of animals and birds.
The department will have a special exhibition of horticulture wealth of Salem district.
The workers are also decorating a large number of flower pots to be displayed during the flower show.
The state highways department has taken steps for white washing the parapets of the bridges on the ghat road.
Graffiti has been removed along the road leading to the hill station.
The Tourism Department has spruced up all the tourist attractions on the hill and has taken steps for meeting the crowd demand at the Boat House.
The Chief Minister, Edappadi K. Palaniswami, is inaugurating the festival on May 12.
With summer at its peak, a large number of tourists are thronging the hill station.
All the lodging houses and the private guest houses are over-flowing with tourists.
