Collector inspects drought-hit areas in Coimbatore district

District Collector T.N. Hariharan on Saturday inspected drought-hit areas and held interactions with farmers and officials on the field.

Mr. Hariharan asked farmers to ensure that details relating to their farm lands were registered with the officials.

Any change in details furnished should be immediately rectified.

Once funds are allocated for providing compensation, it would not be possible to make any changes.

He told farmers that steps were being taken to bring in adequate fodder and cattle feed.

He visited farm lands in Orattukuppai, Kinathukkadavu, Arasampalayam, Panapatti, and Akkanaickenpalayam.

The Collector was accompanied by officials from Agriculture and Revenue Departments.
