April 09, 2011 02:00 am | Updated November 16, 2021 10:47 am IST - ERODE:

Union Minister and Senior Congress leader G.K. Vasan has appealed to people to favour the DMK-led Democratic Progressive Alliance in the elections, saying this will help Tamil Nadu to march ahead on the path of growth.

Mr. Vasan was campaigning for Congress candidates R.M. Palanisamy (Modakurichi) and M. Yuvaraj (Erode West) and candidates fielded by the DMK and its allies in Erode district on Thursday evening.

The Centre had waived the crop loans to the tune of Rs.72,000 crore. Similarly the DMK government had also waived crop loans, he pointed out.

People should bring back the DMK regime in the State to enable it to continue implementation of its development programmes, he said.
