In this session, join artist and sculptor Subodh Kerkar as he busts myths about the origins of food and find out how food plays an important role in defining India’s plurality.

Subodh Kerkar is a qualified medical professional but gave up medicine to pursue arts 30 years ago.

He is an artist and an activist and uses art forms like paintings, sculptures, installations, and performances to comment on social, political, religious and other issues. He has carved a niche for himself, especially in the field of conceptual art and land art. His works have been exhibited widely in galleries, museums and biennales around the world. He is the Founding Director of the Museum of Goa and he also holds the Mario Miranda Chair as a Visiting Research Professor at Goa University.
