The Sunday brunches in the city are fast becoming the best meal of the day. And the team at Courtyard by Marriott is only getting creative with every passing weekend.

With Jubilant June, the hotel offers a themed brunch every Sunday. “To break the monotony of brunches, we keep creating something new,” says Saravana Kumar, the F & B Manager.

Father’s Day

If last week was the ‘Succulent mutton Sunday’ with a scrumptious spread of everything meat, the coming one is dedicated to every girl’s first hero — her father. To coincide with Father’s Day on June 16, a treat for dads is in the offing.

The Executive Chef Somasundaram Gopalakrishnan says he’s putting together a live station for children who wish to surprise their father with a quick surprise dish.

“There will be a variety of pastas, sauces, and ingredients for making omelettes and children can make their own dishes,” he says. There will be on-the-house surprises and activities for family members such as photo-ops. Children can speak about their dads that will win the winning fathers prizes and coupons. The décor, says Saravana, will be in black, white and red, complete with elements such as a twirling moustache, cigar pipe, bow and tie, spectacles and hat and more.

Just Jackfruit

The buffet will be elaborate, promises Somasundaram. His hands are full as June 23 is Just Jackfruit brunch. “The kathal biryani and jackfruit seed masala will be the highlight of the menu,” he says, “And I plan to play with the fruit in all my salads and desserts.”

On June 30, the regular Sunday brunch with live grill station will be back with its delicious spread. The best part of the Sunday brunches is you can dine and also take a dip in the pool at no extra cost. Don’t forget to bring along your swimsuits.
