While AC1 impressed you with its storyline, AC II offers a captivating gaming experience.

Great graphics: Venice in all its beauty.

Old wine in new bottle—does great this time. The latest sequel in the 'Assassins Creed series' which was once considered to be next in line to take over Classical Prince of Persia (A.K.A POP) Series has branched out to be a separate one all by itself. One should play Assassin Creed I, which I definitely would rate below AC-II, a wonderful game before playing the latest one.

The game starts from where the last part let off, Desmond(a bartender) rescued from his cell by an assassin and introduced to their assassins' lair , their secret hideout. From here Desmond undergoes intensive training to be an assassin. He learns to become one by re-living his ancestor's - Ezio Audituerre de Firenze ‘s life with the help of animus (a machine in the game that helps you to take a trip into your ancestor's life). Ezio's storyline is a complete mess. It starts with his birth and continues with his youthful adventures, then things gets complex. First he becomes to take revenge, then owing to political plots and at last to save earth.

Ubisoft has done a fair job on improving the gaming-graphics which makes it very natural and creates a desire with player to stay through till the end of the game. I should add that the game's exquisiteness lies in depicting Venice's beauty . Let it be the narrow water passages, markets, churches or the carnivals, this game does look and feel phenomenal. One negative side is that you need to be connected to Internet to play this. You need to login to your account (Ubisoft account) to play this game. This is Ubisoft's way of avoiding piracy, though this makes a beautiful game to be less user-friendly and at times even causes frustration if your Internet connection if bad.

Play the AC -I for its strong story line and the AC II for its good game play.

AC 1

Assassin Creed -I had this incredible storyline. Though the sequel lacks that strong plot, it does take the story forward very well. It is the game play that Ubisoft has sought to prefect the game and I should say they done very well. All AC-I gamers can never forget the leap of fate, quick wall climbing and the assassin blade attack none of which has been left out in this sequel as well. What's new in this is the GTA style of buying and selling goods, off the plot missions and developing your city plus new combos and weapons which does appeal very well and makes one glued. The tedious and repetitive mission which were part of AC-I have been craftily removed. To sum up, this is a must play game.

My rating: 8.5/10
