Sri Lanka look to make it 2-0

The second Test in Galle between Sri Lanka and Australia is expected to have a spin-friendly track as the hosts attempt to go 2-0 up and clinch the three Test series. The last time the Lankans managed a series success over the Australians was in 1999.

Rangana Herath, who has enjoyed bowling in Galle, will once again be leading the bowling effort along with Lakshan Sandakan, who made his debut in the last match.

Both the sides would be eager to put up a better batting display after the low-scoring encounter in the previous game.

Misbah asks batsmen to convert starts to big scores

Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq asked his fellow batsmen to convert their starts into big scores ahead of the third Test at Edgbaston.

With the series score reading 1-1, Misbah won the toss and elected to field first at Birmingham.

Nadal to participate in all three events

In a major boost to tennis at the Rio Olympics, Rafael Nadal, returning from a wrist injury, confirmed that he will be participating in singles, doubles and mixed doubles.

The 14-time Grand Slam winner, however, stated that his best chance could be in the doubles events as the burden would be shared.

Dharambir now in doping mess

Indian athlete Dharambir Singh, who had earlier become the first male sprinter in 36 years to qualify for the Olympics, is believed to have tested positive for a banned substance.
