BMW, the German carmaker lost a bit of its Germanness with the announcement of its locally produced BMW X3 xDrive30d M Sport in early July. Well, this new X3 M sport version which comes in 20d and 30d options is getting produced locally at its Chennai plant. So, if you are a BMW lover this would mean you might get your hands on your dream car by paying lesser than before considering that BMW India just recently revised its price list. But, before you are ready to pay the still-not-so-less amount you must read on the features, specifications and the newness of the car.

Combining generous standard equipment levels and advanced chassis technology with class-leading performance and genuinely sporting handling, it’s a car that gives real credibility to BMW’s claim of making the most driver-focused SUVs in the world. This power-packed SUV is equipped with a 6-cylinder, 16 valve diesel engine that offers a top torque of 560Nm at 2750 rpm and 258bhp at 4000 rpm. To set you cruising and to give you the sense of a fly the car clocks 0 to 100km/h in a meekly 5.9 seconds. And, all that with a fuel efficiency of 8.9km/l in the city and 13.3km/l on the highways.

Philipp von Sahr, President, BMW Group India, said, “The BMW X3 is built for both the small and big challenges that each day brings. The new BMW X3 xDrive30d M Sport with a perfect blend of sporting character, impressive performance and appealing design makes every journey an unforgettable experience. Whether on the way to work or on the weekend. With family or for some quality time alone.”

The new M Sport design package lends the new BMW X3 xDrive30d M Sport a distinct personality, making it look more robust and muscular. The M Aerodynamic package with front and rear bumpers in the body colour, the diffuser insert in Dark Shadow metallic and side sills with additional lighting edge maximise the car’s presence on the road. The sill covers, wheel arch trim and door trim are in the body colour.

In the interiors the car makes you feel airy and neat. There are sport seats for driver and passenger in cloth/leather upholstery. The sporty-dynamic appearance is apparent in the whole car, from the multifunction M leather steering wheel to the BMW Individual headliner in Anthracite and the M door sill finishers. Another attraction is the Panorama glass roof which provides a fine view of everything outside. Further, the new BMW X3 xDrive30d M Sport also features the BMW Driving Experience Control switch, which enables the driver to choose between different driving modes to suit the driving conditions (Comfort, ECO PRO, Sport and Sport+).

Overall, BMW this time has come up with a sporty and dynamic SUV variant of its already popular X3 model. And this high on Sport model comes in Delhi at ex-showroom price of Rs. 59,90,000.
