Freedom or boredom?

April 11, 2011 03:29 pm | Updated 03:29 pm IST

Schools are closed, and the summer vacation has started, but children are not able to enjoy the summer holidays with full josh. Even after the exams are over, children are engaged in doing records, assignments, charts, collections and so on. It is very worrying that they are deprived of their freedom. These are things that need to be done at school and not during vacations, as this is the only time we get to enjoy and be freed of all academic work.

Hence I want this system to be changed and to ensure that children are given freedom, to do what they like, as it is the time for them. For one year, we have worked and now we are asking for just one or two months of freedom. Is that a problem?
