Gifted with a pleasing voice and flawless pathantaram, N.Ch.Pardhasarathy of Hyderabad gave an enjoyable concert for Swara Tarangini Sabha at Sri Sringeri Peetha Paripalita Sri Sivaramakrishna Kshetram, Vijayawada.

Pardhasarathy is a disciple of noted singing duo of Hyderabad Seshachary and Raghavachari.

Pardhasarathy started his concert with a well rendered Viriboni Bhairavi Ata tala varnam of Patchimiriyam Adi Appaiah and followed it with Sri Saraswathi Namosthuthe of Dikshitar in Arabhi and Jalandhara , also a composition of Dikshitar in Gambhira Nata. Ennallurake in Mandari was presented next as the sub main item of the concert.

Pardhasarathy who imbibed his gurus’ vigorous and traditional style showed fine depth of manodharmam while rendering the raga and kalpana swaras. After singing Niravadi Sukhada (Ravichandrika) in a fast tempo he took up Syamasastri’s Todi keertana Karunanidhi as the main item and amply proved his all round efficiency.

Towards the close of the concert Pardhasarathy rendered a Ramadas kirtana Eevela in Khamas and a sprightly thillana in Pahadi. The singer had excellent accompanists in Palaparthi Nageswara Rao on violin, B.V.S.Prasad on mridangam and S.Hanumanta Rao on ghatam. Nageswara Rao’s version of Todi and the robust tani played by Prasad and Hanumanta Rao were other highlights of the concert.
