Visitors at the Brookefields Mall on Sunday had a chance to win free tickets for The Hindu Friday Review November Fest. Music lovers in the city, including students and homemakers, came forward to try their luck by answering a volley of questions thrown at them.
The questions were based on various publications of The Hindu group. Each participant was given a chance to win an entry pass for a day's programme at the music fest to be held at Corporation Kalaiarangam, R.S. Puram from November 17 to 20.
“Naming the supplements issued on different days would be a cakewalk for all the regular readers of The Hindu ,” said K. Karthik, one of the participants. The participants' knowledge of history was also tested with questions on ‘Triplicane Six', the group of six members who had started the newspaper in 1878.
“We are interested in music. The Hindu had conducted the programme last yearand we thought of attending it this time. We are happy that we have already got one ticket free,” said R. Srikanth and T.R. Saranya from Vadavalli.
