The 164th annual Tyagaraja aradhana celebrations organised by Sadguru Sri Thyagabrahma Aradhana Kainkarya Trust and Sadguru Sri Thyagabrahma Aradhana Mahotsava Kainkarya Samithi begin today at Tiruvaiyaru. The four-day festival culminates on Monday, Bahula Panchami, when the Pancharatna kritis of Tyagaraja will be rendered by musicians.

Daily programmes include Veda Parayanam, Tulasi Sahasranama Archana, Lalitha Sahasranama kumkuma archana, Akhanda Rama Nama Japam, Ganapati homam and so on. Special programmes include Navagraha homam, Sri Sookta homam, etc. Rudraikadasini and rudra homam will be conducted on January 23. The aradhana will take place on January 24.

Sri Thiagaraja Sangeetha Vidwath Samajam, Thiagarajapuram, Mylapore , is conducting Sri Tyagaraja aradhana festival on January 23 and 24. Bahula Panchami will be marked by Upanishad and Veda parayanam, unchavriti, abishekam, rendition of Pancharatna kritis and Managala araati.
