Tarun has never had it so good. He has two big, interesting films — Anucharudu and Yuddham . Chukkalanti Abbayi Chakkananaina Ammayi is ready for release. On the personal front, he is quite content with his life and doesn't want any drastic change.

He is keen on getting married by the end of 2012 and is brazenly honest about it. For Tarun, success was never about being known, earning loads of money and being seen everywhere. He was happy with the scripts that came to him and rejected those that didn't appeal to him; but he was never hugely ambitious either. “There is no point losing your sanity, getting insecure and doing film after film just to be noticed or be in the race and feeling bad when it doesn't work out. It is about enjoying what I am doing and the bliss I feel after having given a perfect shot. Also, I never compare myself with others. I am all for healthy competition,” he says matter-of-factly.

The poster boy has grown up, but is still not able to give up his favourite genre — romance — and why not? There are actors who wear trendy tees and streak their hair while others appear clumsy trying to appear love struck on screen, but no one can fit into the lover boy's shoes comfortably like Tarun.

Tarun reacts, “Sometimes it does get irritating doing the same stuff all over again but I make a conscious effort to do all kinds of love stories. At the end of the day, I strongly feel that it is better to pitch in with what you are better at and be happy with it. I have no complaints about having this fixed image of a lover-boy. I'm doing more films now that have a romantic angle yet some action associated with it. But it's not the kind of film where I have to beat up 50 people at a time. I will do things only if the script needs it. I know it is a clichéd answer but any guy in the situation could be reacting that way.”

Chukkalanti Abbayi Chakkanaina Ammayi with Vimala Raman is based on live-in relationships. He adds, “The character questions if you are marrying someone and staying with that person throughout your life with compromises, why not live in and move out if things are not working out. I won't say it's extraordinary, It's a nice, feel-good film. I loved the audio. Anucharudu has me and Srikant and it is not a double hero script. Srikant plays a very important role. Jasmine, who's done Vedam in Tamil, is my heroine. Yuddham is with Srihari. I'm a student leader in the college and Srihari is a mass leader with his followers. Yami Gautam from Nuvvila is my love interest. Both the films are due in January and March respectively.”

Meanwhile, Tarun is chilling out playing his favourite sport, cricket. CCL is due in January and the practice sessions begin from November 10. His sister Amulya is wrapping up her studies in psychology and is looking forward to doing her Masters and also enter TV production. She intends to start a show of her own but wants to remain behind the screen. The doting brother is more than willing to help.
