Dead man walking
Yamini, who plays one of the leads in the upcoming Papparapaam , gave up a career in IT to step into films. She, along with Vinoth Kishan and Ishara, plays the three main roles in the film. “It is the story of a dead man suddenly coming alive during his funeral, and the funny situations that follow. The screenplay travels both into his past and his future,” says Yamini, whose character features in both segments.
Full steam ahead
Actor Rathan Mouli has quite a few films lined up for release this year. “ Arasakulam and Ennai Piriyadhey have both been censored and are scheduled for August-September release, while Malli is awaiting censor clearance. I have also completed my dubbing for Kuthirai, which is now in post-production. It is directed by B. K. Bhoomi and has Kannada actor Priyanka Malnad playing the heroine,” he says.
