Music Highlights
There are six songs in the album of which four are written by Srivijay. ‘Swasamai', a melodious number by Harish Raghavendra and Kanthini, is the best. The lines are sure to inspire youngsters. Mukesh has rendered the solo ‘Ivan Ivan' well. ‘Yuthangal Seiyathey' is a sensuous number rendered by Roshini. ‘Engiruntho', another solo by Haricharan, prompts you to listen to it a second time. ‘Idhayame,' sung by Kavitha Jayaraman and written by Raghavan Yogaratnam, is good. Another song sung by Aravind along with Sabesh-Murali, who have also penned it, is an aural treat.
What they say…
Producer Ravi Gunasingam:Kadhal Pisase is a love story, directed by Aravind, one of my friends. After watching the film, I felt he has done a good job as an actor and director.
Actor-director Aravind: From a young age, I have directed and acted in plays and watched as many films as I could. I learnt the nuances of filmmaking and acting at the Toronto film school. I acted in Adhikalai 26 , a film on the tsunami. I've also acted in and directed a couple of films, Appa and Ullam Kavarnthavale . Both brought me recognition. Then I came to Chennai to start work on Kadhal Pisase . The film is ready and awaiting release.
Music director Brunthan: I come from a family of vidwans — eminent musician N. Shanmugaratnam is my grandfather and Carnatic scholar N. Shanmugaraghavan, my father. Beginning my career with music composition in 2003, I released my first album “Sagaram”. Then followd “Thuligal”, “Nathiye” and ‘Nakshatra'. My next album ‘Anjanaa' is to be released soon. I've worked overtime to give my best to the success of Kadhal Pisase .
