After the period-drama  Kesari , Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is all set to enter the world of Rohit Shetty. Akshay Kumar will star in Shetty's  Sooryavanshi , the first look of which was released on Tuesday.

The poster shows a slick police officer (Akshay) carrying a gun, with the tagline 'A bullet for a bullet'. Touted as a typical Rohit Shetty film,  Sooryavanshi  is set to hit the screens on Eid 2020.

Sooryavanshi  is the fourth of Rohit Shetty's cop film series, after the  Singham  films and the most recent Ranveer Singh-starrer  Simmba . In  Simmba , Akshay Kumar was introduced as Veer from the Anti-Terrorism Squad while Ajay Devgn reprised his Bajirao Singham role.  Sooryavanshi  will take the universe of Shetty's police films forward.

The film, backed by Rohit Shetty Picturez in association with Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films, is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Shetty.

Akshay has assured his fans that the movie, which will go on the floors in May, will be “action-packed, masala intact”.
