Caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao filed two sets of nominations for Gajwel Assembly constituency on Wednesday. While the first set was filed at 2.33 p.m. before the returning officer and RDO D. Vijayender Reddy, the second set was filed at 2.35 p.m.
Earlier in the day, Mr. Rao along with T. Harish Rao visited Konayipally and offered prayers at the Lord Venakteswara temple by putting the nomination papers before the feet of the Lord. Addressing a gathering in the village, Mr Rao said that he launches all programmes with the blessings of Lord Venkateswara. Expressing confidence that the TRS will win 100 seats, he said the State has achieved excellent development and it would continue if the TRS was again voted to power. He said that rail connectivity to Siddipet will be a reality soon.
