Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao supported the Bharatiya Janata Party’s policies for the past five years. But now, ahead of elections, he is engaging in ‘hate drama’, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said on Wednesday.

KCR supported demonetisation, met with the Prime Minister for the presidential election, and when the Telugu Desam Party moved no-confidence motion against Mr. Modi, the TRS MPs had voted in support of BJP , he recalled.

Alleging that a ‘secret agreement’ between the two leaders was being implemented now, the Nalgonda Lok Sabha candidate Mr. Uttam Kumar urged people to be aware, considering the past record.

“KCR is constantly misleading the people of the State. I urge people to look at things, side by side, that have happened in the State and Centre, and understand,” he said.

Addressing press persons in the town, he said the TRS, despite having a strength of 16 MPs in the Parliament last term, did not achieve development, which they are promising now. “And, TRS asks people to vote, by looking at KCR, and not the candidate. Are the MP candidates ineligible?” he asked.

Criticising his opponent here, Vemireddy Narsimhareddy, as not relevant for Nalgonda, he said voting for TRS would only go waste.

Mr. Uttam Kumar Reddy, who later met Bhongir candidate Komatireddy Venkat Reddy here, boarded the same campaign vehicle, in a rare sight, and proceeded for the party worker’s meeting in a motorcycle rally.
