The Janata Dal (Secular) made a clean sweep in Mandya district by winning all the seven seats.

M. Srinivas snatched Mandya segment by defeating his rival P. Ravikumar of Congress with the margin of 21,608 votes.

Incumbent Lok Sabha member C.S. Puttaraju defeated Darshan Puttannaiah of Swaraj India party by a margin of 22,224 votes.

Maddur legislature D.C. Thammanna secured his seat (1,09,239 votes) by defeating former MLC Madhu G. Made Gowda (55,209 votes), while K.R. Pet legislator K.C. Narayana Gowda (88,016 votes) has retained the seat by wresting former MLA K.B. Chandrashekar of Congress (70,897 votes).

A.B. Rameshbabu Bandisidde Gowda (57,619 votes), P.M. Narendra Swamy (76,278 votes), and N. Cheluvarayaswamy (64,729 votes) of Congress were defeated by Ravindra Srikantaiah (1,01,307 votes) in Srirangapatna, K. Annadani (1,03,038, votes) in Malavalli, and K. Suresh Gowda (1,12,396 votes), respectively.
