Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s four rallies in Bihar, Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Thursday morning asked why the Prime Minister was maintaining silence on the issue of reservation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing four rallies in Bihar and staying at state Rajbhawan tonight. He will address two rallies on Friday at Rohtas and Aurangabad.

Mr. Prasad also accused Mr. Modi for being anti-dalit and called him a ‘cow worshipper.’

Mr. Prasad said reservation should be done in proportion to the population and “Mr. Modi must open his mouth on the issue”.

While citing reference to the books written by PM Modi, Mr. Prasad said, “In the book, Modi-ji has written that dalits do the menial works like garbage removing as per their own wish and they feel happy about it”.

“Now the dalits would like to ask him [PM Modi], why he himself did not do this work?”

In a bid to clear the confusion over his controversial remark that “Hindus eat beef”, Mr. Prasad categorically said that he was a worshipper of the cow.

Before setting off for his series of rallies, Mr. Prasad exuded confidence that the grand alliance will be forging government in Bihar and BJP will be out “not only from the State but from the country”.
