With less than 24 hours to go for the third phase of Bihar polls, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday appealed to the voters to re-elect Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

“I appeal to the brothers and sisters of Bihar to vote to make Nitish-ji the CM of Bihar,” he tweeted.

Mr. Kejriwal had extended his support to the Bihar Chief Minister in his fight against the BJP in the Assembly elections.

Mr. Kumar was quick to respond to his tweet and thanked him for his support. "Thank you Arvindji for your support and best wishes," he tweeted.

This comes days after West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee >requested the people of Bihar to vote in Mr. Kumar’s favour for the ‘greater need of the country and development of the State’.

Mr. Kumar, senior JD (U) leader, heads the secular alliance consisting of his party, the RJD and the Congress.
