The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Friday released the results of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to MBBS and BDS courses.

Students can check their results (under graduation) in the following websites: http://cbseresults.nic.in/neet17rpx/neetJ17.htm  or cbse.nic.in

The Supreme Court, on June 12, 2017, asked the CBSE to declare the NEET results by putting a stay on a High Court order restraining the publication of results. The apex court order comes as a relief to 12 lakh aspirants who had written the examination. The order came on a plea by the CBSE and others challenging the May 24 order of the Madras High Court.

On June 9, the CBSE moved the Supreme Court seeking an immediate stay on the High Court order.

The Hiigh Court order followed filing of a batch of pleas alleging that a uniform question paper was not given in the examination and there was a vast difference between the ones in English and in Tamil.

The CBSE had said that due to the High Court order, the entire schedule of counselling and subsequent admission through NEET has gone “haywire“.
