The Los Angeles Clippers registered one of their best come-from-behind road victories as they erased a 21-point deficit to defeat the New Orleans Pelicans 112-103 at the Smoothie King Center.

While Blake Griffin led the scoring for Clippers with 27 points and 12 rebounds, he received plenty of support in the form of 22 points from Lou Williams, 19 from Tyrone Wallace, and 12 points and 19 rebounds from DeAndre Jordan.

Afghanistan’s fairytale at the Under-19 Cricket World Cup came to an end as they were defeated by six wickets by the Australians.

Chasing a modest total of 182, Australia made it to the final to be held on Saturday with over 12 overs remaining.

Lionel Messi scored a sumptuous free-kick with six minutes left on the clock to complete Barcelona’s 2-1 victory over Alaves, ensuring that they remain 11 points ahead of second-placed Atletico Madrid at the top of La Liga.

After John Guidetti had given the visitors a shock first-half lead at the Camp Nou, Luis Suarez equalised for Barcelona in the 72nd minute to spark their comeback.
