HCL Tech pays Rs. 2 per share interim

HCL Technologies has reported a total income of Rs.1,697.73 crore on a standalone basis for the third quarter ended March 31, 2011, against Rs.1,287.11 crore in the year-ago period. The net profit has increased to Rs.331.81 crore from Rs. 262.57 crore.

The company has announced an interim dividend of Rs.2 per share of Rs. 2 each, its 33rd consecutive quarter dividend payout. The company on Wednesday announced that R. Srinivasan had been appointed Additional Director on the board of HCL Technologies.

Mr. Srinivasan, Founder, Managing Director of Redington (India) Limited and current Chairman of SSN Institutions joins eight other distinguished members of HCL's board of directors.

Mr. Srinivasan's appointment took effect from April 19.
