Healthcare technology start-up Practo said that it ha raised $55 million (₹374 crore) in a funding round led by Chinese tech giant Tencent. New investors ru-Net, RSI Fund and Thrive Capital also participated in this round along with existing investors like Capital G (formerly Google Capital) and Belgian investment firm Sofina. Practo said that it will use the money to further build an integrated platform to unlock value for the entire healthcare ecosystem. It will also invest to scale up its global operations. “2017 will be the year our integrated healthcare platform comes to life and we will partner with various service providers to build solutions with Practo,” said Shashank ND, founder of Practo in a statement. — Special Correspondent
