January 05, 2017 10:00 pm | Updated 10:00 pm IST - BENGALURU:

Freshdesk, which provides customer engagement software to clients like German fashion house Hugo Boss and Japanese automaker Honda, has acquired Pipemonk, a data integration platform. Pipemonk allows companies to synchronise and move data among multiple cloud apps quickly. Freshdesk said this acquisition is the company’s seventh in the last 16 months. However, the Chennai-based firm did not reveal the financial terms. It said the acquisition is part of the overall strategy to create an ecosystem of interlinked Freshdesk and third-party products for businesses. “The Pipemonk team will enhance Freshdesk's capabilities,” said Girish Mathrubootham, Founder & CEO of Freshdesk. “Having your apps talk to each other and enabling seamless flow of data plays an important role in any business today,” he said. — Special Correspondent
