Ronit, Anna emerge champions

Ronit Singh Bisht of India and Anna Tyulpa of Russia clinched the Manjeera ITF Grade Five junior tennis tournament boys’ and girls’ crowns respectively at the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh Tennis Complex here on Saturday.

In the finals, Ronit blanked Vinod Gowda 6-0, 6-0, while Anna subdued Sowjanya Bavisetti 6-4, 6-3.

Justice D.S.R. Varma, who was the chief guest, gave away the prizes.

The results (finals): Boys singles: Ronit Singh Bisht bt Vinod Gowda 6-0, 6-0.

Girls singles: Anna Tyulpa (Rus) bt Sowjanya Bavisetti (Ind) 6-4, 6-3.
