Jaidip Mukerjea futures tennis: Sriram Balaji moves up

Top seeded N. Sriram Balaji of India defeated compatriot Sai Saran Reddy Byreddy 6-3, 6-3 to move into the second round of the Jaidip Mukerjea $10,000 futures tennis tournament here on Monday.

The results: First round (all Indians unless stated otherwise): N. Sriram Balaji bt Sai Saran Reddy Byreddy 6-3, 6-3; Mohit Mayur Jayaprakash bt Niki Kaliyanda Poonacha 6-4, 7-6(0), Sasi Kumar Mukund bt Sandeep Choudhary 6-1, 6-2, Ronit Singh Bisht bt Neeraj Elangovan 6-4, 6-2.
