Saurav Ghosal fought his heart out but eventually ran out of steam against top-seed Ramy Ashour of Egypt who overcame the spirited Indian in straight games in the pre-quarterfinal of the Sky Open Squash tournament in Cairo.

Unseeded Ghosal, ranked 27th in the world, pushed the Egyptian opponent to the limits before going down 5-11, 8-11, 7-11 in 35 minutes at the Sky Petrosport Club.
