Multi-purpose synthetic courts to come up in all districts

With a view to nurturing sporting talents in rural areas, Kerala government would set up two multi-purpose synthetic courts each in all districts in the state, Sports Minister K B Ganesh Kumar said today.

Of this, the work on 1-0 synthetic courts would be completed within four months, the minister said at a press release here.

The courts would have facilities for training talents in football, hockey, volleyball and athletic events. Priority would be accorded to hill districts while setting up the synthetic courts.

The land required for constructing the synthetic courts would be made available with the co-operation of local bodies and schools, he said.
