Ferrari will be changing the engine in both their cars ahead of the Bahrain Grand Prix, which will take place in Sakhir later on Sunday.
The team announced on their Twitter page that the engine in Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso’s cars will be replaced as a precautionary measure.
The two drivers, who will start from second and third place on the grid respectively, will not be penalized as teams are allowed to change up to eight engines during the season.
Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel will start the Grand Prix after posting the fastest time during Saturday’s qualifying session.
