A collision four laps from the finish cost Armaan Ebrahim dearly in the sixth round of the Formula 2 Championship here on Sunday.
Armaan, sponsored by JK Tyre, Amaron and Trimex, was running ninth after carving his way from 14th, when he tried to pass Thiemo Storz. The incident ended Armaan's challenge with a damaged suspension.
“It was a disappointing weekend from the perspective of scoring points,” Armaan said. “On Sunday, I was very much in the running for points after starting from 14th position and moving to ninth. With four laps to go, I attempted a pass on Storz going into the first corner, but he shut the door and we made contact. I suffered damage to the suspension and it put me out of the race.”
