Anindith Reddy clinched his second MRF FF1600 win of the weekend, in the MRF MMSC FMSCI National Racing Championship at the MMRT track here on Sunday.
While Sandeep Kumar won the second race in the category, Reddy won the third.
Sandeep Kumar got off a poor start due to wheel-spin, but recovered well to get past Chetan Korada and Reddy in the first lap, and held on to the lead till the finish.
In the third race, Reddy spun after coming into contact with Korada, but managed to get back into the race and went on to take the chequered flag while Sandeep Kumar and Arya Singh finished second and third.
“It was a good weekend overall, but it wasn’t as clear-cut as the results might suggest. I am happy to come off the weekend with two wins and a podium,” said Reddy who has four wins from seven races so far.
The winner of the championship will qualify to compete in the Road To Indy shootout in the United States later this year.
The 14-year-old Yash Aradhya won both of Sunday’s races in the Formula LGB 1300 category for rookies.
