Jharkhand announces squad for handball Championship

A 16-member Jharkhand handball team, led by Dayal Singh, has been selected to take part in the 40th Senior Men’s National Handball Championship, to be held at Bhilai from October 16 to 21.

Khursid Khan, secretary of Jharkhand Handball Association, said the team comprises experienced and talented players.

Hoping to perform well, Khan said their first target was to reach the quarterfinals stage.

Former national player Firoz Khan will be the coach while M L Rana will be the manager.

Md Azhar and goalkeeper Jitender Singh, who are the cadets of Training Center Tata Steel, were kept on stand-by.
