Organisers of the World Cup hockey tournament to be held here from February 28 to March 13, have requested the city government to exempt paying luxury tax on hotel accommodation by delegates and other participants of the event.

The requests came days after Delhi Government granted exemption from paying luxury tax on hotel accommodation to delegates and other official participants of the upcoming Commonwealth Games. It is learnt that the organisers have also requested the government to allow an exemption on paying entertainment tax for the event.
