Stephen Constantine was on Friday confirmed head coach of the National men’s football team.

His previous stint as head coach of India, and his achievements with Rwanda helped the All India Football Federation decide in his favour.

The Englishman, who will also be in charge of the U-23 side, has agreed to a two-year contract and will begin work in the first week of February.

He was previously in charge of India from 2002 to 2005, during which time the team won the LG Cup in Vietnam and finished runner-up in the Afro-Asian Games.
