Top domestic players for BCCI Corporate Trophy

Sixteen teams, including the last year’s winner, Chemplast will take part in the fifth BCCI corporate tournament (50 overs) for the Raj Singh Dungarpur Trophy from Sunday, February 16 to February 22. The league phase will be played at Ahmedabad (Motera), Baroda (Motibaug and Reliance Stadium), Nagpur (VCA, Civil Lines and Jamtha), Mumbai (BKC and Wankhede Stadium), the semi-finals at Ahmedabad and Mumbai and the final at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

All the teams will field their top notch players in the competition; notable among them are Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Dinesh Karthik, Jalaj Saxena, Varun Aaron, Unmukht Chand, Amit Mishra,Abhinav Mukund, S. Badrinath, L. Balaji and B. Aparajith.

Chemplast, Andhra Bank, Indian Oil and Indian Income Tax will play the league matches at Ahmedabad, CAG, MRF, State Bank of Travancore and ONGC at Nagpur, Canara Bank, BSNL, BPCL and State Bank of Hyderabad at Baroda and India Cements, FCI, Air India and State Bank of Mysore at Mumbai.

Air India (Red) won the tournament in 2009, Indian Oil in 2010, State Bank of Hyderabad in 2011-12 and Chemplast in 2013. The winner will receive a prize money of Rs. 1 crore, the runner-up Rs. 50 lakh and the losing semi-finalists, Rs. 12.5 lakh each.
