Night-watchman Wahab Riaz frustrated England on the second morning of the third test at The Oval before he became the third wicket to fall in the session that ended with Pakistan reaching 111-4 at lunch.

The tenacious debutant Riaz was lbw to Graeme Swann for 27 in just short of two hours, falling five minutes before the interval.

The returning veteran batsman Mohammad Yousuf was on 16, in his first test innings since January, while Azhar Ali was yet to score. Off-spinner Swann had 2-12.

Yasir Hameed (36) and captain Salman Butt (17) were the other batsmen dismissed, as England fought to defend its modest first innings total of 233.
