Anderson feels confident

New Zealand all-rounder Corey Anderson, who had a good outing in the inaugural match against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens said, “it was nice to get some runs and also to get a few overs in. Anderson who considers himself as a batting all-rounder feels the teams are looking to fit in more players with skills in two departments of the game.

“All-rounders are taking the 5 to 7 slots. I don’t normally bowl with the new ball for New Zealand. I enjoyed bowling the other day; the ball was swinging a bit. Bowling with the new ball was enjoyable.’’

Against Kings XI we have to make sure our plans are executed well. We put up a good batting performance in last game, but dropped a bit down on the bowling. If we can focus on those little areas I am sure we can get home,’’ said Anderson.
