Dinamalar TVR defeated Bishop Heber College by nine runs to win the Kalidas Trophy in the Tiruchi DCA T20 cricket tournament here on Sunday.

M. Prethivuraj of the winning team was adjudged man-of-the-final.

The scores: Final: Dinamalar TVR 139 for nine in 20 overs (M. Prethivuraj 41, M. Jagan 39, V. Yuvaraj three for 19, C. Sarathkumar three for 28) bt Bishop Heber College 130 for eight in 20 overs (A. Sanjith Kumar 47, C. Sarathkumar 26).

Semifinals: Dinamalar TVR 166 for nine in 20 overs (S.R. Mithun 32, M. Saravanan 29) bt St. Joseph’s College 109 in 16.2 overs (Joseph Ananth 38, Sridhar three for 16).

Bishop Heber College 162 in 19.4 overs (A. Anbarasan 57, V. Yuvaraj 32, Karthikeyan three for 21) bt BHEL 103 in 18.4 overs (Vignesh Rao 39, Saravanan three for 26, Sarathkumar three for 15).

Quarterfinals: Tendulkar 115 in 16 overs (V. Boobeshnathan 32, S. Udayaraj 31, S. Guru three for seven) lost to BHEL 116 for six in 19.4 overs (M. Balaji 26).

Pudukottai 55 in 16.5 overs (K. Saravanan three for 16) lost to Bishop Heber College 57 for one in six overs.

Dinamalar TVR 142 for eight in 20 overs (V. Pradeep Krishna 50, R. Kathiresan 29, V. Karthikeyan three for 36) bt Wisdom 106 in 19.3 overs (M. Vignesh four for 19).

Premier 97 for eight in 20 overs (D. Rajendrakumar 63, A. Aroneinraj three for 10) lost to St. Joseph’s College 98 for two in 12.3 overs (P. Babu 65 n.o.).
