Bangladesh posted an eight-wicket win over Afghanistan in the league stage here on Wednesday to ensure a place opposite India in the final of the under-19 one-day cricket tri-series.
Bangladesh spinners — off-spinner Saeed Sarkar and left-arm spinner Saleh Ahmed Shawon Gazi — shared six wickets to get Afghanistan out for 99 in just 26.2 overs as the latter opted to bat.
Bangladesh overhauled the target in 25 overs losing two wickets. Captain Mehedy Hasan Miraz (37 n.o.) and Nazmul Hossain Shanto (38 n.o.) completed the successful run chase putting on an unbeaten 72-run partnership for Bangladesh. Bangladesh tallied nine points from two wins and as many losses and will meet India in the final on Sunday.
