From lab to field

The editorial, “Necessary limit” (Feb.22), presents a grim picture of the reality in health care. There needs to be uniformity in health care that would pave the way for a general population of healthy citizens. Medical care, sadly, has not been making much headway in this direction despite the fact of there being great advances in the field of medicine. There is a need for a strong coordinated effort by the many agencies involved with the supreme goal of health and service. Medicine has advanced largely on account of selfless research. Transforming this into affordable treatment facilities still remains a dream.
