Mr. Modi’s ‘ABCD’ attack on the Congress (“ >A for Adarsh scam, B for Bofors, says Modi ,” Sept. 11) is hardly amusing. Is not his own book of alphabets confined to only one letter, ‘C,’ which stands for corporates? Favours worth billions granted to corporates far outweigh the ‘ABCD’ scam of the Congress.

Congress leader Manish Tewari has found two alphabets ‘F’ (for fake encounter) and ‘G’ (for genocide) to retaliate to Mr. Modi’s ABCD jibe. If the 2002 killings were ‘genocide,’ what were the killings of Sikhs in 1984?
As for fake encounters, can one forget the encounter death of Rajan in Kerala during the Congress rule, the brutality of which is still fresh in the minds of those who lived during the period? Are fake encounters unique to Modi-ruled Gujarat? People living in glass houses better be wary of throwing stones at others.
