Excellent. The Tamil language used to explain the editorial here is pure as against some being used in other satellite channels and news papers. It is a welcoming move by The Hindu. Appreciated.

I love Thamizh and very glad the podcasts are in our mother tongue. May God Bless The Hindu and Thamizh live forever!

Why this delay in clarity, perhaps this article should have appeared shortly after the arrest in May. It is still unclear, if it was the law or a political motive that denied bail for such a long time to those held.

Podcasts are a very good initiative.
It would be helpful if podcasts are also provided in english.
dedicate a team for podcasts, we need to carve a exlusive niche in todays news market to deliver quality news in all formats

This initiative is great & demanding. When international magazines like The Economist can have podcasts, why not The Hindu?? I have raised the same concern several weeks earlier & am very much happy to witness the start!!!
With changing hectic times, it is not always possible to devote full two hours to sit & read the newspaper, with this technology we can be in touch even when we are on the move....Please do continue this in English also.
Wish you all the best!!!

Excellent podcast! Even though we know Raja, Kanimozhi & Co are real culprits in this case, that can not be the only reason to keep them behind bars at this time. At the end of the trial, what if the judge decides they are not culprits and releases them from the case? Who will compensate for the time spent by them behind the bars? Release them now and at the end of the case put them behind bars if they are found to be punishable.

It is time that The Hindu also has in Tamil news, cricket scores etc. Other news papers are doing this in Hindi, Marathi, Gujarathi etc. This should also be done in Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam since The Hindu is a newspaper that is well regarded in these states and has a wide circulation across the entire South India.

Good initiative!
With this step, more Tamils can experience quality journalism that has been the hall-mark of 'The Hindu'. More should be done to take the views/opinion/perspective expressed in Hindu, to the masses. Unlike the 'tanglish' of certain satellite channels, the language used in the podcast is precise. Keep up the good work!!

Many newspapers have already started these podcasts . There was a time THE HINDU used to be the first newspaper in India to introduce new technology initiatives . Now a days , it is lagging far behind other newspapers .

Congrats on this new initiative and kudos to the efforts. It would have been nice if this audio podcast was also in English to help many (especially in their advanced age) who would find it easy to listen rather than read. The voice is so clear and pleasing to hear. Hindu always does it in style and in its own superior class.
A small exclamation: Why these two editorials have been specially chosen for the launch? Only the Editorial Board knows the reason, I suppose.

This is a great initiative, I've always been waiting for podcasts from The Hindu. Podcasts provide a great way to stay in touch with the latest when one is commuting. Podcasts in Tamil makes this even more special.
