All employees of transport corporations should be declared as government servants, Pattali Makkal Katchi founder S. Ramadoss said on Monday.

Speaking at a meeting organised by the Pattali Thozhil Sanga Peravai, Dr. Ramdoss said that all the 23 demands of the employees of the corporations were just.

The Assembly elections were hardly five months away. If Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi made the announcement now, the DMK government would earn the goodwill of 1.3 lakh employees of the corporations, he said.

Dr. Ramdoss said that the government should invite representatives of the transport corporations for talks and take a favourable decision on their demands.
