Several teams of Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruptiion (DVAC) conducted surprise raids in the official residence of the former Superintendent of Police Abishek Dixit on the old Bangalooru Road in Krishnagiri since early morning.

In a related raid conducted at the residence of P. Ramachandran, Sub Inspector attached to the Traffic Wing at Bargur, the DVAC reportedly seized about 20 plastic containers of gold ornaments weighing about two kgs,15 kgs of silver ornaments and also bunch of incriminating documents related to land deals. The sources in DVAC told The Hindu that the raids are being conducted simultaneously at four places in Kanpur including Mr. Abishek Dixit’s residence, his official bungalow in Krishnagiri, SI P.
