Naxals blow up tehsil office in Chhattisgarh

Maoists on Monday blew up a newly-built tehsil office in Naxal-hit Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh.

The incident took place in Kuankoda tehsil when a group of armed Naxals triggered a blast using explosives, damaging a large portion of the office building there, police said.

No casualties were reported in the mishap and most of the documents and office records are safe, they said.

Repair works have started at the site.
