Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee health has shown significant improvement in the last 48 hours, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) director Dr Randeep Guleria said on Wednesday.

He said that the leader was diagnosed with chest congestion, urinary tract infection and low urine output and was started on injectable antibiotics after a team of doctors evaluated him. “While his blood pressure, heart rate and breathing has remained steady the leader has been put on slow dialysis to support his renal function. His urine output has increased,” said Dr. Guleria.
