Two more Amarnath pilgrims have died due to cardiac arrest, even as the number of pilgrims who have visited the holy cave shrine crossed 60,000.

The body of an unidentified 55-year-old pilgrim was recovered from Pissu top, along the traditional Pahalgam-cave route in Anantnag district on Thursday morning, a police spokesman said.

Subash Chand (40), a resident of Punjab, breathed his last at the Baltal base camp in Ganderbal district late on Wednesday. With this, the death toll in the pilgrimage has risen to eight.
